The first 24–48 hours
Right after treatment the area is often pink and slightly raised around the follicles — similar to a mild sunburn — and may feel warm. This usually settles within a day or two.
A cool compress and a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer help. Avoid touching or scratching the area.
What to avoid
For 24–48 hours avoid sun exposure, sunbeds, hot showers, saunas, heavy sweating, and exercise — heat irritates freshly treated skin and raises the risk of reaction.
Skip exfoliating scrubs, retinoids and acids, perfumed products, and (for underarms) deodorant until the skin calms down.
What to do
Keep the area clean and moisturized with gentle products, and apply broad-spectrum SPF on any exposed treated skin — sun protection is essential between sessions to avoid pigmentation.
Loose clothing over treated areas reduces friction while the skin recovers.
Between sessions
Over the next one to two weeks you'll see treated hairs shedding — this is normal and not regrowth. You can gently exfoliate after a few days to help the process.
You may shave between sessions, but never wax, pluck, or epilate — removing the root makes the next laser session less effective.
Normal vs warning signs
Normal: redness, mild swelling around follicles, slight tenderness, and shedding hairs.
Warning signs: blistering, severe or spreading swelling, crusting, or signs of infection — contact the clinic for guidance.
